Abstract

Using itself of the theory of the Significação, as first object of the Semiotics, this article has as purpose to argue the representation of the death, in “General Field”, of Rose, in dialogue the sculpture There Pietà, of Buonarroti, in order to provoke the processing of the literary reading. As metodológico resource it worked bibliographical research, of analytical matrix. The sign death was revisited on the basis of the transcendental definition, as a ticket rite. It was apprehended, in the results, the gerativos passages of direction, through the images mental and plastic of the death, that, through one ground, if reconstructs in the two midiáticos resources. We conclude There that General Field is possible to apprehend the relation enters constructo of the sign death in the literary narrative and the sculpture Pietà, considering that the literary text, for the characteristics that are peculiar also suggest images, figures, forms, parallels, confrontations, correspondence to it with the sculpture, becoming possible to establish construction of directions, critical reading, when placing them inside of a history or a context. The plan of the content synthecized in both the texts, symbol of the disfórico sign death, has origin in the imaginary one, therefore the texts are fictitious, representation.
