In this paper, we propose a teaching project based on the theme of politics in which we work on various genres putting together areas like Portuguese and Neuroscience. In Neuroscience we specifically work with memory and executive functions aiming the student success in the processes of teaching and learning. The research methodology is a critical action research. We do so for teachers to rethink their teaching practices. The results presented here embrace the teaching project, the inferences during the implementation of the teaching project, and the memory consolidation test by a group conversation. In doing so, we argue for the importance of Neuroscience as an ally to Education to help us think of strategies that consider the functioning of the brain and, therefore, enhance student success.Downloads
