Abstract

responsibility in the context of the relationship between Market, State and Society, by bringing the contributions of the Constitution of the Federative Republic of Brazil of 1988. It approaches issues like the importance of the social, environmental issue, the dialectics of building social and environmental responsibility in the capitalist dynamics and the dealing of the social environmental issue. It was verified that the social environmental responsibility the way it is discussed in the twentieth century, as responsibility of the trilogy: State - Market and Society, received, in Brazil, important contributions from the referred Constitution which is imbued with a democratic character, broadening the social rights and elevating environment to the status of fundamental human right. The responsibility for the social in the Constitution is laid upon the State, whist the environmental responsibility appears like a collective responsibility, making room for new social authors to participate.
