The aim of this study was to analyze the performance of the Brazilian economy in relation to trade in manufactured goods destined for other member countries of the Southern Common Market -. MERCOSUR in the period from 2000 to 2010. The analysis was done by means of an analytical tool to study the trend of the external sector in any country or region , which is called "Development Index of the external Sector (SXi)". Besides this, we also calculated the rates of trade liberalization for manufactured products exported by Brazil. According to the survey results, it is noticed that there was a relative improvement in Brazilian trade relations with other member countries of the bloc to the extent that the composition of exports, the analysis period was characterized on average by more 90% of products with high added value.Downloads
