Social transformations and school- family interactions in fundamental education

The literature consulted and the teachers' discourse indicate a "tension" between school and family. The aim of this research was to know the conceptions of family and their role in the process of schooling of the children, presented in the discourse of teachers at municipal schools in the west of Santa Catarina. The data was collected through a questionnaire, which was answered by 111 teachers from five municipalities, chosen according to criteria. The results indicate it was possible to notice a teaching knowledge based on an idealized model of nuclear family and the lack of conceptual elements to understand the ongoing transformations.Downloads
