This article presents some contributions of the Brazilian intellectual Lélia Gonzalez to Brazilian educational thought. We present the transformations that the Gonzalian theoretical framework experienced during its intellectual and political journey, starting from the 1970s, with the Marxist perspective, later arriving at the psychoanalytic paradigms, afrocentric and feminist based on descriptive and exploratory research . Regarding feminist theory, we do not intend to give priority to it in this text, focusing our attention on previous theories, especially Afrocentricity, the main foundation of an Amefrican pedagogical proposal.
