Education management and the participation of social actors in a collegiate space: a case study

This study was guided by the following objectives: to understand the meaning of participation; understand the level of quality of participation within the municipal education council. The methodological approach was qualitative, conducted by documental analysis. The documents analyzed were: National, state and local laws in the sphere of education; Minutes of the Municipal Council of Education. Data from the study indicate that this body needs to be able to contribute to municipal management to improve the quality of local education.
