This qualitative study investigated the impact of a self-knowledge workshop on the continuing education of 34 teachers from a public school in Porto Alegre/RS. Using content analysis, the research sought to understand how the workshop contributed to the teachers' socio-emotional development. The results indicate that the activity provided a space for reflection on self-concept and potential, strengthening self-esteem and promoting group integration. The conclusion is that self-knowledge is fundamental for teachers' professional development, as it enables them to better manage the demands of the profession and improve their well-being.
