Abstract

Believing that reading can both provide writing skills and a cultural enlargement, we attempted to some class activities working as alternatives for both Portuguese lessons of Language and Literature, in addition to audiovisual tools. One of the objectives of this search is to transform the passive acting of facing a literary text into an active stage of creation. Moreover, we are inserted in a context which is constantly moving, and, as educators, we need to motivate ourselves and exploring our imagination and the one of our students, defying them to reflect and later be the author instead, daring them to make different. This sort of communication intends, therefore, to share a practice holds at “Escola de Educação Básica Feevale- Escola de Aplicação, which has been doing for five years with second -year students of Secondary School: an adaptation of a certain author´s piece of work to a cinematographic plot, knowing the style and the thought of this author, and becoming, thus, proficient readers, using the most varied forms of technology to the project, in which literature "literally" leaves its binding to join altogether the written word, the reading and the image.
